Elements of Object-Oriented Design
Sorry, at this point, HYMNS is still in griping alpha... Try again soon.
There are many good OOD tutorials out there. I just need time to pick one and adapt it for here. Until then, sleep on the following fact: most OODevelopers and OOProgrammers I met either directly or through their work don't actually think in Object-oriented terms... If they would, programming tools would be much simpler to use and APIs much smaller than they currently are... What we need are simple tools that do complicated things, not vice-versa :(
HYMNS works with two distinct areas:
- the site area is what the users are accessing
- edit area is what the maintainers use to modify content and templates
HYMNS can be used in two ways:
- static area site is edited on a test machine, then each page is generated and the resulting area uploaded; when changes are made to content or templates, the affected pages are generated and uploaded;
- dynamic area site is hot-spot edited both users and editors make http calls directly to the generator (thus changes made are instantly available on-line)
Enjoy!
